DVS Kalyan Samiti is a non-profit organization established by a group of professionals and has been registred as a National level Organization under the Societies Registration Act 1860.
We, at DVS Kalyan Samiti, have been working on a number of initatives that embody this vision of sustainability. On the one hand, we help rural poor to benefit from the local resources through environmentally sustainable technologies and processes and building market linkages and on the other, we work continually towards enhancing the sustainability of natural resources.
The climate change debate together with the linked issue of global population expansion have raised the public’s awareness of global warming and the allocation of scarce resources for food and energy producation. At street level, in houses and shops, people are still unclear as to what they should do to help reduce climate change and/ or the pressure on global resources. People are now advised to work, live and consume in a sustainable manner. As agriculture, forests, water and Sanitation systems and wastelands face greater pressues from changing climates, poor communities become increasingly vulnerable to it.
Our focus is on Micro Finance, Micro Insurance, Women Empowerment, Youth Skill Development and development of water resources. While converging resources from other donors for Empowerment, agriculture, agribusiness and capacity building and institution building activities of the communities.
DVS Kalyan Samiti has always promoted farmers to work in sustainable and agriculturally responsible ways, this vision is vital, now more than ever before. We have introduced, developed and promoted sustainable methods and technologies to vast numbers of farmers and communities.
I am proud to be associated with them. We will appreciate your prestigious feedback. This is the single fact that motivates us to do more. My heartiest congratulations to my colleagues who have been part of this journey.

At DVS Kalyan Samiti, we have realized that significant opportunities for the enhancement of livelihoods exist though the restoration and management of available natural resources.
It is a nice feeling to see that our efforts on the ground in creating sustainable livelihoods for rural poor have been making tremendous impact in changing lives.
The growth over the last five years has been very decent. The average annual growth in the expenditure has been over 30% . We have expanded our operation geographically by adding new locations and have also added sub- programme within the overall programme themes. However, there is no room for complacency’ we need to implement additional growth strategies in years to come if we are to continue to achieve double digit growth.
It has been a year of learning, strengthening and, as always, joining hands with several people to move towards more effective ways of developing livelihood security, which is facilitated by An intensive participatory process of natural resources development and local institutional development.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I take the opportunity to convey our sincere gratitude to all our donors, supporters, collaboratiors, well whishers and the village community with whom we work, for their continuous support and trust in our endeavour.
